Hi Ladies

This is my first challenge in my new role as DT for Scrap Therapy and i hope you like it.
I tried to come up with something a little different and something we could all use....

So this months technique challenge is:
"Faux Bling Flourishes"

You will need:

* Clear plastic or acetate. (I've actually used overhead transparency sheets. Probably not the most acid free thing out there though.... A box of 50 sheets is about $15 - $25. They can be used for heaps of other things as well, which i can cover in other technique challenges.)

Image

* Kindy Glitz/Distress Stickers/Folkart Papier Glitter/Gallery Glass (Anything that is glittery and sticky will do the job)

* A Pkt Prima Say it in crystal or pearls

* Access to photocopier

Instructions:

1. First remove your flourish from the packet and photocopy onto white photocopier paper.

2. Place a sheet of transparency over the page and staple to keep secure.

3. Using the kindy glitz, or whatever glitter you choose, follow the design of the copy and dot with the glitter. Make the bigger dots bigger by pressing a little harder and then just a light touch for the little dots.
You might also like to use a number of colours in each flourish. It takes a steady hard and a little bit of patience.

4. Leave overnight to dry.

Here is my finished product.

To use on layouts:

To use these on layouts, i usually cut around the glitter and secure to the layout using either Pritt Gel or Scotch Dots. I try to keep the glue or dots hidden under other parts of the layout.

Here is a sample layout:

There are gold and also the crystal flourishes on this layout.

Products Used: Graphic 45, Creative Imaginations, AC Cardstock, Prima Flowers, American Crafts Thickers

Have fun with it. Cant wait to see what you come up with.

Load your layout into the gallery by Thursday 4th February to be in the running for a $10 store voucher.

In order to be eligible for a prize your entry must be created specifically for this Scrap Therapy Challenge, and may not be used for any other challenges on Scrap Therapy or any other site until after the winner has been announced

Awesome idea. I spend so much $$$ on those flourishes and I end up cutting them up anyway because they are never quite right. This is much better!
